Progress has been made
I'm a little behind on this model because of moving and a few other things but I've made some progress.
Here is the body smooth.
Here is my topology.

Wow, this is really nice. Those are some awesome edge loops. I think the only places you have to watch out for five or more point stars is around areas that are going to move a lot and might crease funny. Especially in the corners of the mouth when the time comes.
