I'm a little behind on this model because of moving and a few other things but I've made some progress.
Here is the body smooth.
Here is my topology.
Now I'll do the arms and legs which I have a feeling will be a bit easier that the other parts of the body. Then I'll clean up the mistakes.
More to come.

Body Topology
I've drawn the topology over my reference. So this week I'm going to jump into the modeling straight away. I'll Post updates of my progress of the actual model after I start it.
For now here is the body topology sketch.
Here is what I have so far for the face.
Its been brought to my attention that it could better benefit me to get a side view where the eyes can be seen more clearly. So I still have alot of work to do.

Model Ref
So even though my early planning stages aren't entirely solid I have my rough idea and I can continue to develop it as I move forward with other areas such as creating the model.
So for the modeling of the dreamer girl I found some images via 3d.sk.
I put a blur on some of the images if you are sensitive to seeing the human body in its natural state.
I want to work with the face of the top model and the t-poses of the lower model. So I combined and cleaned up the image as well as put a side pose with it.
You'll probably notice that I've exaggerated some of the features and now shes about 7 heads tall. So about now I'm ready to jump into bocking out the major shapes in my modeling program.

Reference Material
So I had to come up with a concept the only rules being that it the subject needs to be a female figure. So what I came up with is a woman sitting outdoors perhaps in a park or something like that taking a quick break from reading to stare at the sky and dream of her own future. Maybe some future goals, thinking about the person she loves, or even imagining what it would be like to be the main character of the book. So with this idea I started my paper brain storming process with quick little thumbnails to see how everything feels.
I don't feel any of those where particularly striking or strong so I kept trying to push the pose a bit.I'm leaning more toward the type that are circled. Far from being "there" but these sketches don't take long so I'll keep pushing it. I'm definitely going to try to shoot some life ref of a woman in that pose clothed. I just need to find a willing subject.

CG Workshop
I've enrolled in a CG workshop that involves modeling from the female form. I'll post my progress and hope you'd like to give feedback.
